Jenimae Almquist is a seasoned litigator practicing in both Pennsylvania, New Jersey and has been specially admitted in multiple other jurisdictions. Additionally, she is fluent in Spanish and handles cases on behalf of Spanish-speaking clients.
About Ms. Almquist
After attending a specialized law magnet high school, Ms. Almquist received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, at Bryn Mawr College.
Following graduation, Ms. Almquist worked as an adjunct to the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, where she investigated prison conditions and assured compliance with court orders in complex institutional reform litigation. She earned her juris doctorate, magna cum laude, at Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, where she received the Barrister Award for excellence in trial advocacy as well as multiple transcript distinctions for outstanding writing and oral advocacy. She was awarded the West Publishing Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award upon graduation.
Professional Organizations and Achievements
Shortly after being admitted to the bar, Ms. Almquist was honored as one of forty Pennsylvania “Lawyers on the Fast Track” by Pennsylvania Law Weekly and the Legal Intelligencer. In 2018, Ms. Almquist was selected to the Thomson Reuters Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list, a nomination awarded to less than five percent of the attorneys in Pennsylvania.
Ms. Almquist dedicates significant time to bar service and community activities. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Rendell Center for Civics and Civic Engagement, an initiative aimed at cultivating an educated citizenry that understands our system of government. For several years, Ms. Almquist co-chaired the Advancing Civics Education (“ACE”) Program of the Philadelphia Bar Association. She is past Secretary of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania and engages in pro bono service for Spanish-speaking clients through the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (VIP). She is also an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association (formerly on the Board of Governors), Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association.
